Jack Resweber is a New Orleans based artist and producer also known for his audio software company Psychic Modulation.

The idea for Phonogeist emerged as a continuation of his childhood tape recording experiments. Influenced by 80s minimal synth music and the VHS era, Phonogeist combines heavy beats and intricate synth work with haunted melodies and distant atmosphere.
